A pump is a device used to move fluids, such as liquids and water pump is an equipment that is designed to move water through it. Since, Water is the basic need of a human that is very essential in our daily life and serves to keep you healthy by proper intake of water which can be supplied by using water pump by drawing water from lakes, ponds, streams, rivers, and city water. Water pump can be used for many purposes like it is used to boost your city water pressure, in some irrigation systems to irrigate the fertile fields. The pump is used to pressurize the water so that it will flow out of faucets.
The pump is also used in automobiles for cooling system that cause water to circulate, usually consist of a CPU water block. It is the heart of your vehicle cooling system. The pumps takes its power from the engine. The heart of most of irrigation systems is a pump. It is very essential that the pump must be selected, which is efficient to match the requirements of the water source, the piping system and the irrigation equipment. The pump is used to pressurize the liquid so that it will flow out of faucets. While driving or when the water tank is emptied, the water pumps must be turned off to avoid leaks and damage to the water systems and pump itself.
It is also used in refrigerator, garden pump, solar water heater and so on. It is designed to move water in aquarium while external pumps are used to pull water from the aquarium and send it to sumps, then it is pushed back into the tank after it passes through the sump.
Pumps can be of five major groups: direct lift, displacement, velocity, buoyancy and gravity pumps. Their names describe the method for moving a fluid. In short, it is a device that controls the pressure of water and used in different fields.
